Seven Documents to Be Signed During Vietnamese President's Visit

PHNOM PENH: The Vietnamese President, Nguyễn Xuân Phúc, begins a two-day official visit to Cambodia on Tuesday. Cooperation documents between seven ministries and institutions will be signed during this visit.

The seven documents include a 2022 cooperation plan between the Ministry of Interior of Cambodia and the Ministry of Police of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and a joint plan between the two countries’ respective Defense Ministries. Other documents to be signed regard joint work over the economy, culture, technology, and border records between Cambodia and Vietnam.

In addition, three memorandums of understanding and action plans (the conclusion of negotiations on the establishment of a border trade agreement, an action plan for 2022-2023 between the Ministry of Justice of Cambodia and Vietnam, document related to cooperation in the field of education) will also be signed.

President Nguyễn Xuân Phúc will pay a visit to Senate President Say Chhum, National Assembly President Heng Samrin and Prime Minister Hun Sen on Tuesday morning. The Vietnamese President will also attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the new National Assembly administrative building, before moving forward to signing the important documents.
